About Us
Center for Economic Education at Virginia Tech http://www.aaec.vt.edu/cee/Virginia Tech's Center for Economic Education provides assistance to Virginia's educators in teaching economics at the primary and secondary grade level. The Center provides K-12 economics curricula and activities, in-service training workshops and graduate-credit courses for teachers. Other services include classroom visits from the Center's staff, publication and dissemination of curricula on economic concepts and issues, and coordination of the Commodities Challenge Contest and the Stock Market Game (SMG). An additional focus of the Center is to help policy-makers, extension agents, non-formal educators, and general citizens gain a better understanding of economic principles for their decision-making.
